It’s often said if you can remember the sixties, you weren’t really there - so now is the time to catch up with the psychedelic era without the aid of drugs - and enjoy early seventies rock without having to wear loon pants, light joss sticks and drink awful red barrel bitter - unless you really want to of course.

These days some people would have you believe that the music of that age was infused with glitter, glam rock and disco - totally ignoring the fact that there was a whole ‘underground’ movement of creative artists catering for the non singles buying public. In fact, many bands eschewed the commercial pop charts entirely, and their music was only available in album form, where their creativity could be fully explored. This is the era that Dark Horses seek to recreate, and revive as live, exiting music once again. Whether you were around to experience these classic bands in their pomp, or are hearing these songs for the first time, Dark Horses perform them with a conviction and verve that comes from a love of this most inspiring of musical periods.

Are Dark Horses a tribute band? Well, maybe, but it seems very restricting to only feature one artist, when there are a wealth of influential acts to enjoy - Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Pink Floyd, Mott the Hoople, Free, AC/DC, Deep Purple and many, many more. It’s like a mini mega festival compressed into two hours, minus the stench of the porta-loos.

Dark Horses are five very experienced musicians, with thousand’s of gigging hours under their belts, who came together with the sole intention of breathing new life into these classic songs. David provides powerful main vocals - and authentic sounding guitar, keys, bass and drums from Sam, Michael, Andrej and Nick complete the line-up. Full pa and lighting are included ... providing the audience with a musical trip into a bygone era that’s just itching to spring back to life.
