From the small seaside village Glaisdale, North Yorkshire, David was inspired to play guitar after watching the Blues Brothers as a child. He wanted to grow beyond his small village so he moved up to Edinburgh to study music, where David found success as a solo performer, being noticed by BBC Introducing and playing Cornshed Festival.
In 2014, David Neil joined up with The Animal Farm to develop his sound further and released his latest EP on the 30th of October 2015.
