Biography

Dreadnaught is an 19 year old Drum & Bass DJ + Producer hailing from the vibrant south-coastal city of Brighton. Representing Sub-Liminal Recordings,

the exciting young talent has been developing his craft since early 2018 and as it stands, has accumulated over 400,000 plays and 7000 followers on Soundcloud. Interestingly, when he made his club rave debut, he wasn’t even legally old enough to buy a pint!

So although he is young, he certainly does not lack experience licking down sets in a club setting. His production is incredibly versatile; however, you’ll always be sure to find sharp punching drums accompanied with heavy hitting, gravel munching basslines

that thrive on a serious sound system. Some highlights of his work include ‘Come Around’ and his classic yet sublime bootleg of Baby D’s ‘I need your loving’. On the topic of bootlegs, his flip on Tinie Tempah’s – ‘Pass Out’ was played on BBC Radio 1Xtra by

the man himself – Tinie. Also, he has had the honour of remixing Dark Solider by Ray Keith, an absolute legendary tune produced by a legendary artist – and of course in true dreadnaught style, the remix is sick. This remix will be gracing MP3 vendors and streaming

platforms soon…so keep your eyes and ears open for that. In terms of track support, it’s fair to say the list is pretty damn impressive: A.M.C, Ray Keith, John B, Grooverider, DJ Craze, Nu Elementz, Unglued, Agro, Levela and Eazy (to name a few) have all played

his music, and this list will undoubtedly continue to grow. Growing up to the early sounds of jungle drum and bass, his love for the genre stems predominantly from his Dad. Now at the age of 18, it’s clear his love, passion and enthusiasm for all aspects of

the genre is genuine. With the eradication of social distancing looking probable and an array of music lined up for release, these are extremely exciting times for Dreadnaught. 2021 and beyond will no doubt see him develop as an artist and continue to make

his mark on the scene that we all know and love.
