22 year old Eloise Rees describes herself as “a small blonde singer-songwriter with a helium voice” but don’t be fooled; she is a force to be reckoned with! Eloise, who was born and bred in Oxford, began her music career at the age of 14 in an all girl rock band. Six years on and she is now a solo act belting out modern, melodic folk music with a contemporary country twist. Many of her songs are played in a range of alternative tunings, which gives her music into a style of its own.

She cites her influences as renowned folk-artists such as Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell, but also aspires to the likes of Ben Howard and Lisse. It might not be too long until Eloise is one of their peers, after supporting Indie heavy weights The View on tour recently, creating a real buzz around her.

Her up and coming single ‘Fire with Fire’, encapsulates everything about a relationship gone wrong, taking you through the familiar painstaking emotions, one agonising but beautiful step at a time. She has recorded an acoustic performance of ‘Fire with Fire’ in Play Studios filmed by Band Vault that you can watch on YouTube.
