Enteric are a female-fronted London rock band. Metallic intensity and melodic sensitivity combine in a heavy yet delicate mixture, where down-tuned riffs and double bass drum grooves go hand-in-hand with soaring vocal lines and textured guitars, and experimental explorations give way to gigantic choruses. Best described as melodic rock with an alternative metal edge, Enteric cite Tool, Soundgarden, 30 Seconds to Mars and Meshuggah as some of the key influences of their sound.
Since its formation in 2007, Enteric has gone through various lineup changes to reach its current incarnation. In late 2010 Will Pickering joined the band on drums, and Zul’fiya Muckanova succeeded Darren Pugh as vocalist shortly after, beginning a new era in Enteric’s history. Long-standing members Owen Rees and Dimitar Ralev complete the lineup on guitars.
Enteric are currently promoting their new EP ‘Scars’, released 25th July 2011.
