Esteban (aka Ste Hendry) hails from Liverpool in the UK and had his first taste of DJ’ing over 31 years ago. A regular on the North West of England’s acid house scene in the late 80s, Ste’s musical tastes are rooted in disco and electronica, with a strong affection for those early Chicago and Detroit house tracks which filtered onto the dancefloors in the late 1980s.
Ste was quick to make the move from dance floor to the DJ booth, landing various residencies and guest spots across the North West of England during the nineties and ‘noughties’.
He is one of the brains behind ‘Black Light Disco’, which includes co-conspirators Goz and Pookie Knights. Since the first event on a sunny June day in 2019, Black Light Disco has gone from strength to strength – landing a weekly Monday evening slot on one of the biggest house music stations on the planet, New York’s My House Radio FM. There’s a huge buzz for all concerned with BLD right now – a loyal following is building up on both sides of the Atlantic whilst Les Inferno & De Gama’s Samosa Funk residency has taken the show to the next level.
