One of the underground scene's most exciting and talented prospects. Meet FAIDE, a Brighton-based DJ and producer with a love for the melodic and deep sides of house and techno. James Flavell (FAIDE) inherited his passion for music from an early age. Starting off initially as a rock and punk drummer, he adopted a DIY attitude to making music. After many years of touring with bands, James decided to go it alone and start producing electronic music. With a small amount of production knowledge but a decade of percussion and rhythm under his belt, FAIDE was born.

Working out of his home studio FAIDE began to forge a sound for himself, focusing on diverse layered drums and engaging melodies, with the addition of organic live recorded instruments.

FAIDE quickly caught the attention of local record label Dino Audio, who signed his first two EP’s.

Early support came from the legendary DJ, Nick Warren who showcased the tracks at his infamous ‘Sound Garden’ party in Barcelona.

As well as Eelke Kleijn, who played FAIDE’s track ‘Wal’ globally, including at his Mixmag NYC party and as the closing track of his Burning Man set.

FAIDE then concreted his place in the scene by releasing one of the most respected labels in the industry ’Still Vor Talent’. His tracks ‘ Swerve’ and ‘Gana’ which also featured Argentinian producers ‘Brigado Crew’ and 'Uber’ were perfect for the likes of 'Magdalena' (Dynamic) to play in her ‘Shadows Tulum’ set and also at Warung Beach Club in Brazil.

'Stil Vor Talent' owner 'Oliver Koletzki’ also made the tracks a firm favourite in his mixes, including his Mayan Warrior sunrise set.

Next up came a string of releases on labels such as ‘Plano B’, ‘Alpha Black’, ‘Asymmetric’ and most recently his long awaited EP ‘Matanot’ with Tel Aviv rising star Kadosh appeared on Kadosh’s own imprint ‘Frau Blau’. This collaboration release gained massive support had support from the likes of Franky & Sandrino, Kadosh, Santiago Garcia, Jepe, Magit Cacoon, Brina Knauss, Fideles, Luke Garcia and many more……

FAIDE has also built up an impressive DJ resume over the last few years, supporting the some of the underground scenes most respected artists, including EINMUSIK, Timo Mass, &ME, Christian Burkhart, Alan Fitzpatrick, Skatman, Kadosh, Manpower and James Zabiela. He has also started to build his own party ‘Avoy’ , which will be host to a specially curated selection of inspirational names as well as local residents.
