Fast Distance is a project between Belgian producer Franz Hlusek aka Arpegia and Olivier Picart from France. Franz and Olivier have always had a passion for electronic dance music, especially for melodic, euphoric and uplifting trance. When they met in winter 2005 they discovered that they had the same interest for trance music and they decided to start producing together.

Since he was very young, Franz has always had a passion for music lessons. His parents bought him his first keyboard when he was 11 years old. When the trance sound emerged in the nineties, Franz was instantly drawn to this style and started mixing tracks together using his father's hardware at first, as he was performing animations for various events. When he turned 18 he bought a synthesizer and a pair of turntables, and soon after he started buying the necessary equipment to build his professional studio to engineer and record his own productions.

Olivier was born in 1982 in the north of France. Having noticed their son's passion for music, his parents bought him his first keyboard when he was 10 years old and offered him some piano lessons for 2 years. He continued playing the piano alone after quitting from taking lessons, and in 1996 he started making his own sounds while also discovering trance music in the same period. In 2002 Olivier got his first DJ residence in a small club next to his hometown, and earned enough money to buy himself the required hardware for his own music studio and consequently his music productions. One year later he entered an audition through which he was selected to join the music school of "Centre des Musiques Actuelles de Valenciennes", where he later received his diploma as a professional pianist!

Their career started in 2007 when after nearly 2 years of hard work they signed some of their productions on famous labels such as Armada,Monster Tunes,Baroque,Cloud 9,Alter Ego,Bonzai and their tracks are supported by the world biggest djs such as Tiësto,Paul Van Dyk,Above & Beyond,Ferry Corsten and many others.

Their interest for electronic dance music also shows through their love of DJing,they have their own radio show and they are also able to perform gigs worldwide and drop some quality trance bombs on the dancefloor.
