Frances is a songwriter and pianist from Tenterden, Kent. She has produced many of her own albums and her songs are noted for their originality, described by SO magazine as ‘ageless and mesmerising’. Frances was commissioned to write a song for theatre company, Hera, creating words and music for an online opera. She enjoys setting words to music, notably for Helen Dunmore’s well known poem ‘My life’s stem was cut’, and more recently for Natalie Farrell with whom she has created a songscape album featuring poetry from Natalie’s book ‘Light the way’. As a pianist, Frances accompanies choirs, dancers and soloists. She improvises piano music for ballet at the Royal Opera House, either playing free improvisations and or weaving traditional ballet repertoire for education classes. Frances also plays for events and performs regularly at Club Quantum in Tunbridge Wells, playing a wide repertoire of popular/jazz piano music.
