Georgie Rogers has returned to her Xfm homeland to present her own show on Friday mornings. Expect a band a week picking a track on Late Night Love-In, a lovingly crafted Megamix of electronic music and big tunes.
Her road to radio followed an English and Drama degree, tea-making at Virgin and presenting on Jersey’s Channel 103 before she arrived at Xfm towers as an intern. Soon after, she was reporting from the red carpet at premieres, The Brits and the NME Awards. From Xfm, Georgie was scouted by BBC 6 Music to join their Music News team. In the midst of chasing down both new and established artists for the beeb, she spent two years hosting the breakfast show on DAB station Amazing Radio, did a stint presenting the flagship show on Strongroom Alive and remains the female face of online music TV platform Secret Sessions.
A budding DJ and promoter, Georgie puts on a monthly party in east London called Cat Lovers. She has also been on the decks at Secret Garden Party, Festibelly, Rockness, Bearded Kitten's parties, Big Chill House & Bar and Queen of Hoxton. In other news, she has a mild jacket-buying problem, loves a little dance and longs to meet Eddie Vedder.
