Growing up in Herefordshire, Gigi has been singing since before she could walk and writing songs since she was 14. Her voice and captivating performance style caught the attention of producer Will Hicks and she was invited to Rocket Music Studios in London, home to Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Anne-Marie and Rag 'N Bone Man. Here she spent time honing her vocals and songwriting, steadily and surely developing her vision for her artistry.
Between sessions writing her own music Gigi also works on the London co-writing scene helping to bring other artist’s ideas to light with her powerful lyrics and melodies. It was through these sessions that she was spotted by upcoming dance DJ ‘Draper’ . After their first recording session together, Draper invited Gigi on stage as a guest vocalist at Reading and Leeds 2018, playing the Radio 1 Dance Stage.
When it comes to Gigi’s own songs, her style is raw, poetic and melodic. Writing confessionally, she draws on life experiences, people, conversations, sensuality, love and every day thoughts. Her stunning vocals and arresting honesty draw you in, while her charismatic performance keeps you there.
With a debut album in the works and some exciting collaborators around her, she’s an artist you’ll want to get to know.
