Hekety play music inspired by the English tradition, some ancient, some modern, all expertly crafted and arranged to please dancer’s feet and listener’s ears alike. Rich Arrowsmith (melodeon), Jess Arrowsmith (fiddle) and Jo Veal (clarinet) weave lilting melody, sparkling harmony and driving chords underpinned by Nigel Holmes, one of the best bass players in the business. Hekety hail from Sheffield, and have graduated from bright young rising stars to veterans of the ceilidh scene in their 19 years (and counting) of playing together.
