Herculean are a four piece alternative rock band from Glasgow, Scotland. Mixing melodic, atmospheric songs with poetic lyrics and anthemic choruses.
After being played on BBC Radio 1, presenter Ally McCrae praised Herculean saying they were “future wordsmiths”. Guest presenter Craig McGee (Warner/Chappell Publishing) agreed “I thought it was songwriting way beyond their years, they have a promising career ahead of them.
Herculean have since gone from strength to strength, being the only Scottish band to be invited to take part in the Sound City Youth Live Heats in 2012. The band made the final, held at the Epstein Theatre in Liverpool alongside some of the UK’s most promising young acts. This was followed by a Scottish tour ending with a headline slot at the legendary King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow.
The band have since received funding from Creative Scotland to record their debut EP, ‘The Falling Thunder’ released 7th June 2013. Since the EP’s release all tracks have received nationwide radio play and press coverage.
