Hugo Kensdale is a Manchester based singer songwriter. His style of music encompasses a mix of alt folk/pop/rock with big uplifting melodies and driving beats that have seen comparisons to Elvis Costello, Calexico, The Shins, Squeeze, Crowded House, Dave Matthews and others.
Having already been booked for a number of this summer’s festivals, and attracting the attention of Red Bull’s musical arm, Hugo’s talent is further confirmed by the high calibre artists who have asked him to share line-ups with them, including Turin Brakes and Ocean Colour Scene’s Steve Cradock
Hugo's debut EP 'Animals' was released last year attracting high praise from Manchester Evening News, airplay and interviews on BBC Introducing, BBC Radio Manchester, Salford City Radio and ALLFM. All boding well for the release of his debut album in 2015.
