Hybrid are a duo of British recording artists and film composers, Mike Truman and Charlotte Truman, who have gained international acclaim
for their ability to combine contemporary electronic music with enveloping orchestral scores and soundscapes. Their first artist album ‘Wide Angle’ in 1999 was considered to be ground breaking in fusing modern production with performances from the Russian Federal Orchestra. They have written a further four artist albums, toured
around the world’s most iconic music venues and festivals and have remixed artists as diverse as Radiohead, UNKLE, Jean Michelle Jarre, Moby, Future Sound of London, The Orb and New Order. A natural progression from their orchestral heavy albums led them into film
scoring and they have worked on many titles including The Fast and Furious franchise, X Men Origins : Wolverine, Total Recall, The Equalizer, Hercules and Man On Fire. The duo have most recently
composed the soundtrack, arranged and produced Mozart’s music for John Stephensons’s costume drama, Interlude In Prague. Other recent scores include Jim Gillespie’s thriller, Take Down, Sony’s PS4 worldwide #1 game, Driveclub and Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier. In addition Mike and Charlotte also recently produced Bishop Brigg's cover of Never Tear Us Apart for Universal Music.
Light of the Fearless, Hybrid’s fifth artist album, brings together
their flair for combining emotionally powered cinematic pieces with astute, intricate and intelligent electronic production. This long -
awaited work is firmly based on the foundation of the principles
and standards set by previous albums but here there’s a clear development and evolution. Never wanting to write the same album twice, Mike and Charlotte have taken another step forward and have created a cinematic, electronic album with songs that stylistically borrow from their childhood soundtracks of soul, funk & hip-hop.
