Isolde is a singer-songwriter/producer based in Bristol. She was raised in a family of potters and painters, which explains the very visual, almost tangible sound she creates in her work. Her songs are collages of found trinkets, field recordings and surreal stories of the everyday, where the urban beats of her cityscape hypothesise with the forces of nature. Live, she portals you into her sonic fantasy with the aid of looped instruments and samples, and hydrates you in a warm bath of vocal harmonies. Isolde’s work has been compared to Hanne Huckleberg, Tune-yards, Bjork, Tunng, Cosmo Sheldrake and Coco Rosie, and has been flavoured as a twinkly dreamfolk-toytronica with jazz and world influences. Isolde releases her debut EP, Seed Bud Bloom, 11th May’15, which leads with the single Kismet // Seed Bud Bloom and promises a picnic of sensual treats.
