If you haven't felt moved recently, it's because you haven't been listening to Jade Hopcroft. Raised from a young age in St Ives, Cornwall, Jade took an interest in music at the age of Seventeen yet, despite taking up music relatively late in her life, she has since garnered attention from Promoters, Industry folk, and music lovers all due to her creativity and passion.
Being an active songwriter, she draws her inspiration from both the old and new as well as personal experience. This shines through in her lyrics, with themes of love, lust, and life lessons that capture the listener's imagination, but lyrics are not the only area Jade excels in.
She has the unique ability to create music that is so deeply textured, and yet seem so simple. Combining this with her distinctive vocal style, impressive range, and almost haunting use of harmony, the result is something so delicate yet so powerful. She has been compared to the likes of Ellie Goulding and Imogen Heap with her edgy combination of Folk and Pop with an edge of the experimental. Currently recording with Producer and good friend Tom Bem Hodgkinson (of RWD), Jade will release her E.P. later this year, but until then she is performing in Brighton and London and anywhere else she can be heard.
It has been said that Jade uses music as an escape from the trials of everyday life. So, seeing as she is still looking for her place in this world, why not step into hers?
