Benjamin Schandy, also known under his stage name Jimi Somewhere, is a Norwegian singer, songwriter, music producer and designer.His musical genres are alternative,indie and electronic pop.

In 2016 Jimi was named "Ukas Urørt" by Norwegian radio station NRK P3. The following year, he released his debut EP Memoria, through his record label Inquiring Minds. According to Schandy, he and his producer Milo Orchis recorded the entire EP in their dorm room at school, before posting it on SoundCloud in 2016. He later released music videos for the two singles off the EP, "Escape" and "The Beach".

In 2017 American magazine The Fader posted a list of 15 Scandinavian artists to listen to in 2018, with Jimi as number 9. Schandy has performed at festivals such as Ekkofestival, by:Larm, and Slottsfjell. He has also performed in Berlin at the Ja Ja Ja Nordic Music Affair. In 2018 he joined Norwegian indie band Boy Pablo on their European tour.

On April 15, 2019, Jimi released his second EP Ponyboy. The EP was preceeded by two singles "1st Place" and "I Shot My Dog". In the same year, he also released four standalone singles, "Never Cared" (with Boy Pablo), "Dusk", "Benton Way" and "Backseat". On March 13, 2020, he released another standalone single "Selfish".

On May 13, 2020, Jimi unveiled the title of his debut album Nothing Gold Can Stay via a YouTube. The album's lead single "Bottle Rocket" was released on July 31, 2020. "Jesus" featuring Kacy Hill was released on September 11, 2020 as the album's second single. "In My Car", "Wedding", and "The World" were released as the album's third, fourth and fifth singles.
