Biography

Jini Cowan, a self taught Producer/DJ Manchester born and raised is one of the hottest up and coming female artists in the UK that the house/techno scene has seen to date. Securing her first residency at 17 at Cape bar, Sale after a year of djing was the moment which certified Cowan’s first love for playing house and techno. She the gone on to support the legend Rodger Sanchez boxing day, Sankeys (Dec, 2009) and also playing legendary clubs Sound control (Manchester), Leeds Warehouse & Aura, Cardiff.

Featuring in Mixmag magazine, 2012 with a write up in the ‘Artists to look out for’ column was just a small insight to what the name Jini Cowan has to offer. Since then she's made massive waves in the industry co-writing a track with house legend Jon fitz as well as working with the likes of Tough Love remixing their track “taking over”. This gained full radio support on Capital fm and again was reviewed in Mixmag.

After her first 4 track EP release signed to Axis Tracks, Jini has gone on to sign with many Labels (Zipped records, Discotech Records, Pink flame music, LW Recordings, stripped digital, Alboratory) releasing over 30 tracks which all feature on Beatport gaining great reviews and support.

After making her comeback in 2014 after a 2 year break from djing to focus on music production Cowan has come back with all guns blazing releasing her first comeback EP 'The Last Resort' on Yoruba Grooves. The EP being well received was reviewed by mixmag giving Jini her 3rd appearance in the industry magazine. The EP also appeared in the top 10 releases on Beatport, 2014. Her next release on Draft label ‘The Crucible’ gained her another feature in the Beatport charts which was then followed by a third release in quick succession on Alboratory.

With music being played in nightclubs across the globe Ibiza seems to be the spot where its most frequent with the likes Dusky, James Zabiela, Gianni Callipari (Cadenza), Dantiez Saunderson, D Ramirez, Darius Syrossian, Reelow to name a few supporting music from Jini Cowan.

2016 Jini Cowan is set to make her come back to the ones & Twos, she’s raring to with loads of hot new music fresh out of the studio, Remixes with well established artists and some major signings TBC. Keep an watchful eye out for jini cowan as she may be set showcase her talent in a venue near you.
