John Martin came to the forefront of the dance scene during his 3 year residency with BCM music empire in Mallorca, playing at various venues around the resort including BANANA’S, HEROES and DERADO’S where the infamous foam parties first started. He regularly played to capacity crowds of 3500 people often doing 4 sets a night.
In 1999, John agreed to do his first UK tour (Age Of Love Tour) which was filmed for a television documentary. With his innovative, original and ecstatic style of music and dj’ing, John soon had the dance floors up and down the country rocking playing at EUROPA (Sheffield), LIGHT HOUSE (Scarborough), ENIGMA (Bedford), FALVERSHAM (Leeds), GOLDEN (Stoke), CRYSTAL ROOMS (Hereford), ASTORIA (Southport), CRAZY DAISY’S (Rugby) MONASTRY (Torquay). John also had a centre 2 page article in the Manchester Evening News in which they compared his skills to some of the finest dj's in the world.
During this period John had his first demo track put on white label and this was sent out as a promo to dj's around the UK. It quickly went to number 1 in the Daily Star Essential Clubbing Charts and his track stayed at number 1 for 6 weeks. After seeing the reaction to his first demo John decided to take the production and writing side of things more seriously.
Coming from a musical background John started moving into writing his own music for a number of years but didn’t release any of his tracks until he signed for Planet Trance Records in the summer of 2011.
His first release 'Fallen Heroes' John was able to showcase his ability to create deep emotional music and beautiful melodies that will instantly enable listeners to relate and connect to his music.
Shortly after his first release John's second single 'Breathe' was released and showed just how diverse John's ability to create a different feel for each new track within the Trance genre with big builds and breaks of pure emotions.
John Martin has recently played at the Planet Trance Launch party in Manchester where he followed new Radio 1 DJ Jordan Suckley. Playing on vinyl and cd and controlling the lasers live via 2 laptops at the same time John shows his unique abilities to create a spectacular audio and visual journey that always leaves everyone wanting more.
