Where words fail, music speaks. This is the ethos that goes behind every one of Kalmer's emotively thought-provoking productions.
2021 has seen Kalmer break into Beatport charts with all 4 tracks from his debut 'Forever Dreamer' EP on Black Rose Records reach the Melodic House & Techno Top 100 in a matter of days. Just a month later he followed up with 2 tracks on Berlin imprint Steyoyoke which also reached Beatport's Top 100 ranking and again providing a sure sign of a very bright future.
Previously known as Ambian, Kalmer has built up a portfolio of extensive shows and awards when winning the Pioneer DJ Accelerator programme in 2018. This granted him many opportunities such as his own Pioneer DJ Sounds Show live stream at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) and a DJ MAG live stream at Workbar, London. Notable shows include IMS Ibiza, E1 London, and a performance at DJ MAG Best Of British 2018 alongside the highest-ranking UK artists giving him a firm stamp of approval as a live performer, producer, and musician.
With nothing but years of inspiration, Kalmer now deviates into an alternate path that will see him consumed by all things analog with a newfound dedication to hardware and a desire to add an aspect of human integration within his music. Using a mainly all-analog approach with his productions and live sets alike, Kalmer can be found using revered equipment to project his borderless approach to Techno and melody with his ability to seamlessly voyage through dark, light, futurism, and nostalgia.
As the Techno scene continues to grow further expect a lot of movement from Kalmer with a pipeline full of more releases for some well-respected labels paired alongside his brand new Melodic Techno event and record label - REBORN. With a 2021 launch event set to feature Afterlife and Innervisions favourites Denis Horvat, Colyn, Erly Tepshi and a program full of future dates across London and Europe expect the birth of a new movement to take shape.
