Biography

Kathy Brown is a dance music singer from South Carolina. She had #1 success as the lead singer of Praxis in 1993 with "I Appreciate", before having US dance hits on her own. In 1999 she climbed to #4 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart with "Joy" and in 2004 was the credited lead vocalist on the British act Soul Central's "Strings Of Life(Stronger On My Own)", a track that samples Rhythm Is Rhythm's 1989 House classic.

Since those groundbreaking tunes she's gone on to release an amazing catalogue of music spanning 30 years, collaborating with the likes of; J Majik, David Morales, Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez, Peyton Christopher, The Sol Bros, Maya Blandy & many many more and in 2024 with Idris Elba with a release due out soon not to mention a re-release of her LEGACY by one of the biggest dance labels in the World, also due out soon, watch this space!

Kathy Brown-Her legacy Event is on 1st August, with Birmingham Online Radio Station Bostin Radio Worldwide following her diagnosis of Cancer at the end of 2023*

And has since had a go-fund me campaign by one of her children to raise funds for the ground breaking treatment that's keeping her alive, as is her music! She has come to Birmingham to help Bostin Radio on the 1st June raise some much needed funds for one of the biggest Charities in the UK, Macmillan cancer Support alongside her own favourite charities close to her heart..
