Kev started off like most DJs did back in early 2000’s playing to a wall with a pair of 1210s in his bedroom. That was until he made the big decision to turn the DJ desk around so he could look at something other than a wall while mixing. While teaching himself how to mix in his spare time he was also a club fiend going to pretty much every party, rave, festival and afterparty he could manage.
It was the love for the scene and everything that went with it that prompted him to push his way into an already saturated DJ circuit with the overwhelming urge to play to a crowd. With a little exaggeration on his skills and some plain outright lying he secured sets at all the popular London clubs, started his own promotion (get_twizted) and even blagged monthly residencies with other promotions as well as his own at Ministry of Sound, Herbal and Scala to name a few.
Around late 2011 after around 5 years of both the pleasure and burden of playing in London he saw out his final two years on the circuit with Southend’s busiest night The TEK project. He lost the passion for it and officially hung up his headphones December 2013 and went out with a final set for The TEK project. Since then he has mainly been back on the other side of the decks raving, but somehow managed a brief comeback for Arcadias 10th birthday party at the Olympic park in 2018 where he played to his biggest open air event.
Now at 43 years old with his best years far behind him, he is dusting off the headphones and buying some new tunes to once more help fellow party goers increase their risk of developing tinnitus in later life. Expect a mixture of House, Electro and Techno in his sets spanning from the mid 2000’s to present day, with his own personal guarantee that no ‘sync’ buttons are used when he’s behind the decks.
