The band was formed back in June 2006 in a café in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The original line up consisted of Jim O'Neill on guitar, Nigel McCoy on vox, piano and guitar, and finally Keith McCoy joined on drums in 2008. After Jim's departure in 2009, bassist and backing vocalist Aaron Jackson and guitarist Chris Cunningham were recruited. Last Rush fit into the Alternative Rock genre with a similar sound to that of Coldplay, Embrace, Snow Patrol. This piano / guitar based group have carved out their own unique sound now for over the past 3 years.
