No stranger to the underground dance scene; Loyd got his first set of Technics back in 1991 at the age of 13 and has been in love with the scene ever since.
His DJ career kicked off at the legendary Heart & Soul parties at the Pavillion in Woolwich, aged just 16, he learned his craft alongside some true British royalty like Eddie Richards, Terry Francis, Nathan Coles, Dave Mothersole and the late Bob De Rosa to name but a few.
Since then classic parties have become a mainstay of his dj career, - infamous smash ups like RIPPED at the Lightbox, along with Beat Assasins, NAPT, and Aquasky allowed him to fully let loose and it was here he began to really sculpt his unique take of high energy bass music that moves effortlessly through genres, while always maintaining a light sprinkling of soul, and without ever losing sight of its main purpose of keeping the energy high, smiling faces, and people havin' it on the dance floor.
His sets run smoothly between House, Tech, Breaks and Drum and Bass with always a cheeky nod to the Old Skool. Nowadays he can usually be found behind the decks at The Cat Club, Stash Records Parties and Re-Connect London, or in the studio with his production partner working on their own unique take on the ever changing genre that is House Music.
