LYLA is a five-piece outfit from Manchester who describe their sound as Funk-Infused-Indie Soul. Fronted by LauraELL and with Simon Wolstencroft on the drums (Ian Brown, The Fall) the 5-person mega group brings together styles of Jazz, Funk & Soul infused with an Indie twist and a heavy serving of disco-flared bass lines. With their first recordings done with co-producer Yvonne Ellis (Simply Red, Corinne Bailey Rae) the funky northerners are set to release a debut EP this June exploring classic and vintage sounds with a modern twist, to feed your soul and get your feet moving.
