Maia Rowan is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter and producer and the frontwoman of Maia Rowan & The Yellows. She's originally from Santa Cruz California but currently splits her time between Santa Cruz and Liverpool UK. She writes deeply personal jazz influenced art-pop. She’s currently working on a concept album called Remote Avalanche Machine. It’s an incredibly vulnerable, strikingly observant record exploring her mom’s recent battle with cancer, as well as themes of escapism and hope.
On top of her artist career, she also gigs as a session keyboardist and has played on BBC Breakfast and in various venues in both the US and the UK. She also works as a film composer and has scored multiple films.
