Maria Friedman is one of the best West End (London's Theatre District) today. She made her Broadway debut rather late, in 2005 in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical "The Woman in White," which was specifically written for her voice. A great performer of Sondheim, most notably originateing the roles of "Dot"/"Marie" in "Sunday in the Park with George," she has also released a solo CD and is feautred on another one of Lloyd Webber's works, "Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat" as the narrator on the DVD and CD Soundtrack.
