Former resident at Club UK and Lojik Hull where he was a resident in the mid 90's Matt is renowned for his epic length mixes regularly playing for 5 hours or more.
London based DJ Matt Bold first started spinning records in the early 90's having been inspired by nights at Rage listening to Fabio, Grooverider, Car Cox and John Digweed. An introduction to Club UK resident DJ Marc French at a house party in St Albans in 1994 saw him get his first break as a club DJ and he begin to play at Club UK at a number of their venues across the country developing his trademark sound of progressive, hard house. For the next 2 years Matt was a regular guest at numerous underground house nights in London and Cambridge playing alongside a wide range of DJ’s including the legendary Danny Rampling and Justin Robertson.
Meanwhile Matt was gaining increasing exposure in the north of England and in 1996 became resident DJ at the infamous night Lojik in Hull which ran for 3 years at The Room where he regularly played alongside DJ's such as Danny Howells, Steve Parry, Fabi Paris, Mark Wilkinson, Breeder and Andy Jarrod. Back in London Matt has also held a resident at the Vibe Bar where for several years a span a blend of tech house and progressive house to packed floors.
He remains a self confessed dance music junkie and continues to devote time to seeking out new music. Leaning towards progressive house and trance in the 90's he has stayed true to his roots while moving with the times musically.
