Matt Bolly’s love for music began at an early age and involved experimentation with a variety of genres. However, everything changed forever when he discovered House Music and the Rave scene.

Heralding from just outside London, Matt had the perfect base to attend some of the biggest and best clubs and raves in the UK. From Raindance to World Dance, the music evolved and continued to fuel and drive his passion and ultimately led to him wanting to get to the other side of the decks! Matt bought a pair of Technics 1210s at the age 0f 21 and began to play private parties which led to many appearances at clubs along the south coast of the UK.

Over time, life opportunities sent Matt in different directions both personally and musically. After a stint living and working in Bermuda and some time out from DJing, Matt returned to the UK. Fired with ideas, he began to rekindle his passion for music, even creating his own personal home studio.

A major milestone was made in 2020 when he joined the MyDJHub group (created by Slipmatt, Atomic Hooligan & Mark XTC). Being able to connect and share ideas and experiences with likeminded DJ’s and Producers drove Matt on to new heights. During 2020 and 2021 he performed for “MyDJHub”, “Raiders of the Lost Rave” and “Hardcore Takeover” events in addition to securing a weekly radio residency playing for Shed FM.

Over the same period, Matt began a journey with music production fulfilling a long held ambition to create and produce his own music. Joining forces with fellow MyDJHub colleague Jose Saavedra, the duo began 2022 with a debut release of the track “Tides” released on Whore House Records. Hot on the heels of this release, their follow up featuring additional artist ‘Jeebo’ is being released in February 2022 on Chelsea Singh’s label ‘MixSingh Records’ and is called “Reactivate”.

The musical style of Matt Bolly focuses on the fresh sounds of House, Tech House and Rave House while heavily influenced by Old Skool.
