25 year old Matt Long has carved himself a reputation as a stellar front man of award-winning British Blues-Rock band Catfish. Now he is also on the road with a new band, Matt Long And The Revenant Ones, with new riff-influenced rock material.
With Catfish, Matt was awarded Blues Act of the Year in England and both of their albums have reached no 1 in the IBBA Blues Airplay Charts. Catfish has completed many successful tours of Europe and the UK over the last few years, with a very busy touring schedule including major European and UK festivals. However Matt missed playing heavier music as well as Blues-Rock and had a few songs that were too heavy and rocky for his other outlets. So in 2018 he started putting together ideas for a new group to go down the Heavy Rock route.
The Revenant Ones allows him flex his songwriting muscles, focusing on heavier and rockier riffs and songs. Matt enlisted the incredible skills of fellow Catfish bandmate Adam Pyke on bass and critically acclaimed ex-RavenEye drummer Kev Hickman on drums who is no stranger to the world stage. Kev has performed regularly across three continents and supported acts such as Slash, Deep Purple, Joe Satriani and The Darkness. These three guys unite to form a force of nature full of chemistry, musicality and energy.
