Matthew North born 6th Spt 1972. Best known as the lead guitarist and founder member of the band Secrets For September and formally of All Living Fear and the band Corrosion.

His musical influences are wide and varied including Frank Zappa, The Cure, Fairport Convention, All About Eve, Pink Floyd & Led Zeppelin as well as Arthur Brown whom North has had a professional involvement with since 1999.

North is best known in the UK Gothic music scene where All Living Fear have been a staple band for almost 20 years.

Norths new band Secrets For September is very different from that of All Living Fear being more Folk Rock and Progressive sounds of Pink Floyd, All About Eve, 10,000 Maniacs and Kate Bush.

Secrets debut album released in 2016 was described by Prog Magazine as

‘A tremendously promising work from a real band to watch’

North has also released 3 albums of improvised music performed live under the guise of 'Matthew Norths Department Factory'

North since 2010 has been gigging as a solo singer songwriter in between other projects playing looped guitars and bass pedals. he has shared the bill with Michael Chapman, Frank Turner and Reeves Gabrels (Bowie / Cure) to name a few.

North is also currently guitarist for Jazz legend Mike Westbrook and recently released a double album produced by Jon Hiseman (of Coloesseum).

North has a new band 'Matthew north's Pathfinder' a power trio with Richard Maydon on Bass and Matt Bacon on drums. The band influenced by the likes of Cream, Hendrix, Zappa and Floyd. Album due in 2017.
