Matthew R is a UK singer/ songwriter who has been getting major support on BBC Introducing for the past 3 years, and has recently been writing with global hit writing song genius, Winston Sela. Winston Sela has had number 1 selling records across the globe including UK, USA, Australia, Germany, Japan and more. Winston has worked and written with long standing top selling artists such as Lulu, Shabba Ranks, Maxi Priest, Aswad, The Drifters and many more.

Matthew R. brings something new, fresh and exciting to the R'n'B world. This has been echoed through social media and has caught the eye of major labels such as Syco Music and Sony.

Matthew's first real success was with his single 'Superhero', which got played on BBC 1-Xtra back in 2009. The song was compared to N Dubz lead man Fazer's single 'Killer' and was said to better written track . 'The Matthew R. Experience' which was a great success and was followed in 2016 by his official debut single 'All Your Love'. This had major radio stations requesting more of Matthew's music to play on their shows.

Entering 2017 Matthew has already a busy year ahead with the release of his next single 'Drown' and his new E.P. at the end of January 2017. Matthew shall also be releasing his official debut album 'Wild and Free' at the end March 2017, and kicking off his album club tour with a massive show in his home town of Leicester on 25th March, 2017. Matthew's club tour shall be taking him up and down through the U.K. and Ireland.
