R&B/dance/pop singer songwriter Melanie Williams started out with partner Eric Gooden as Temper Temper in the 80's narrowly missing the jingle spot for Miami Vice (taken by Jan Hammer) with their track 'Lovers & Gamblers'. Their debut album had among other tracks 'Beg or Plead' beg or plead you lose repect for me and if i cry you just give me sympathy. With pithy lyrics from real-life situations Melanie wrote an extra verse to Sub-sub's (now the Doves) 90's #2 hit (Australia #1) 'aint no love aint no use' which she was not able to include in her album recorded on the Columbia label. Now with partner Jo Roberts they formed Darkflower later to become known as Bodhi. One of Mel's best songs is 'Terrified' which received kudos from Jamiroquai.
