Mez who is also known, as ‘Uncle Mez’ is a Nottingham born Grime artist who has recently been causing a lot of noise within the UK Grime Scene. From the pirate to national stations Mez has been receiving a lot of support from DJ’s across the country and making regular appearances on their shows.

Mez’s love for Music and Spiting bars mainly started during his primary school years where he would constantly freestyle in the school playgrounds to his peers, thinking of quick rhymes on the spot and throwing them together. Mez was also a big fan of Channel U ‘now known as AKA’ Where he would watch Mc’s such as Dizzie, D Double, Kano ETC.

It wasn’t until year 10 that Mez started to put pen to paper and write his bars down with his school peers Kyeza & Snowy.

Mez is no stranger to the studio, from late 2013 and throughout 2014 he has released several free EP’s which go by the names of ‘On Bak Tme vol 1 & 2’ and A Days Work EP which can all be found online for free download. The On Bak EP series see’s Mez Links up with Local Producer Riddla for Vol 1 and Barracks for Vol 2 and also has features from former NSB members, such as Jay Eye. On a Days work EP Mez starts to really express his skill to make songs and catchy hooks. Track 1 of this EP ‘Nothing On Me’ is also the first track from Mez which was played on Nationial Radio, By the Grime Veteran him self ‘Logan Sama’.

In 2015 Mez started the year strong on Sir Spyro’s Grime Show on Rinse FM, were he brought through some of his fellow Nottingham MC’s such as JDot & Snowy and also linked up with London Mc’s such as Novelist & Jammz to name a few. This set received a lot of love online and gained Mez more respect from other artist within the scene from all over the country.

Mez has also been performed at Boiler room x Eskimo dance alongside established MC’s such as Ghetts Rival to name a few.

Mez’s has also ventured Maida Vale studio’s one again with Sian Anderson this time where he recorded a live orchestra session back to back with AJ Tracey, for 1xtra. Mez’s latest single was released with DJ Cable on Trianglum Records, this song was also selected for Mista Jams weekly radio playlist.

More Recently Mez has been a supporting act for Stormzy on his ‘Live in the flesh tour. Travelling to 7 different UK cities including London & Manchester.
