Moodena is no stranger to electronic music. With over 20 years of experience in the music industry, the producer is a co-founder of MN2S, a legendary artist agency, club night, record label and distribution company. In 2018 he was asked to join Tropical Disco Records as a producer, partner and resident DJ. His first production for the label, ‘Strawberry Jam’, was released in July 2018 on ‘Tropical Disco Edits Vol 4: Sound Of The Summer’, receiving heavyweight support from DJ’s such as Joey Negro, Danny Krivit, Chez Damier, Soul Clap, Razor N Tape, Get Down Edits, Marshall Jefferson, Faze Action to name a few. It also skyrocketed to the Number 1 spots on the deejay.de vinyl chart and the Traxsource Nu Disco chart, swiftly becoming the label’s best-selling release of 2018.
The three vinyl releases that followed (Tropical Disco Edits Vol. 5, 6 and 7) were equally successful, with each release hitting the Number 1 spot in vinyl sales at deejay.de. Moodena started 2019 with a bang, with ‘Boogie Monsta’ and ‘What Da Funk’, the producer’s first two digital releases of the year, both hitting the top spot in sales on Traxsource within days of their release. A massive vinyl junkie, you can see Moodena spinning vinyl-only sets at his London residency for Tropical Disco held at Number 90 while holding down regular guest slots at Ministry of Sound and abroad. 2019 is set to be Moodena’s year...watch this space.
