Nadav Schneerson is a London-based 22-year-old drummer, composer and bandleader who creates a unique melting pot of Middle Eastern jazz.

Passionate about the genre and its cultural history, Nadav is an active member of the UK’s contemporary jazz community, regularly playing in live jams like Deptford’s iconic Steamdown and Neue Grafik’s Orii Community Jam, he’s a frequent face in London’s jazz scene. Schneerson’s well-practiced on a big stage despite his age, opening up for the likes of Joe Armon-Jones, Nubya Garcia and Maisha at their headline shows. Nadav and his band have also given high-energy live performances for the likes of Jazz in the Round, Emergence festival, Wildpaths festival and New Generation Jazz.

Nadav Schneerson’s strongest influence is his Jewish heritage, resonating with jazz and traditional music that the Jewish diaspora and Arab musicians have produced from all across the globe. Be that Eastern European, Moroccan, Yemenite and more from across the Middle East, the London-born and Brighton-raised artist feels most connected to his heritage when absorbing and creating music that pays homage to it.
