Nathanael Philip Mosher is a comedian, poet, singer-songwriter, and aspiring human being. His love of words has led him from poetry to stand-up, singing to songwriting, all while continuing his love for the effervescent glow of poetry through performance and spoken word. He began as a poet at age 7 when he was chosen out of his third grade class to read a poem dedicated to a cherished school janitor, leaving after 20 years of service. At age 17, he began writing jokes and pivoted towards stand-up comedy, honing his craft before he was even allowed into comedy clubs. Due to his voracious work ethic and commitment to his craft, he quickly rose to work alongside respected acts like Maria Bamford, Ali Wong, and Jo Koy. At age 22, however, Mosher went through a life-changing mental breakdown, leading him through a year of treatment and grueling recovery. As he returned to the stage, he began exploring the world of spoken word poetry, eventually weaving his poetry into lyrics and songwriting using his classical training as a pianist. In concert with his stand-up he developed the conceit of a one man show entitled “Nathan Mosher is Injured: A compilation of jokes, stories, poems, and songs about a breakup, a breakdown, a breakthrough, and everything in between.” Per the suggestion of his family friend, godfather, and mentor, Tom Bajoras, Mosher also wrote and produced a six song EP of songs and poems that were featured in the show, entitled “NATHANAEL”, now available on all streaming platforms. As he continues to write new poetry, music, jokes, and help other aspiring artists, he also enjoys a rabid chess obsession and continues to get hurt playing basketball.
