Originating from the same South London borough, Nic and Kaleb’s paths crossed in the mid-90s after Nic was impressed by Kaleb’s regular pirate radio show.
Influenced by garage and the early rave scene, Nic and Kaleb’s blend of house made them favourites of clubbers and promoters alike. And while it all started in London town, it's been Ibiza with its energy, endless parties and a certain club named DC10 that not has only refined their approach but which has played an instrumental role in propelling them onto the international stage.
In 2007 a new party arrived on the white isle and one that Nic & Kaleb have been a fundamental part of. Set in one of the island’s most unique spaces, The Zoo Project has grown into one of the most talked about parties on the island and having been residents from the outset, Nic & Kaleb have held their own amongst the who’s who of the house & techno elite.
Both avid collectors of vinyl, their approach has one foot firmly in the analogue realm, with Nic choosing to keep his selection vinyl only, leaving Kaleb room to experiment with a digital set up that possesses less limits. This combination of classic and forward thinking is one that gives their sound depth and an authenticity, a trait echoed in their production work.
Launching their Kameleon project in early 2012 with good friends Simon ‘Vicious Circle’ Vice and Jamie Funk , Nic & Kaleb have created an outlet to express themselves away from DJ booth. The quartet’s debut release won them plaudits across the board and with forthcoming releases doing damage for a select crop of DJs who have a copy, it’s safe to say Nic & Kaleb’s ear for quality stretches further than just behind the decks.
Having played some of the world’s most revered clubs - Fabric, Space and Cocoon to name just a few - a residency at one of Ibiza’s go-to-parties, and a blossoming production career, Nic & Kaleb’s journey is firmly underway but only really just getting started.
