Nick Tann had an amazing 2014. The full-time singer songwriter, who hails from Eastleigh in Hampshire, recorded and released his fan funded studio album “3 am” to great critical acclaim, played at some of the best festivals and venues in his career. He continues to enjoyed airplay and interviews on BBC 6Music, BBC Introducing The South, BBC London as well as radio stations abroad and in the U.S. and all this as a result from simple hard work and talent.
Likened to a mixture of John Mayer and Counting Crows with generous helpings of John Martyn and Elvis Costello with a Jeff Buckley chaser, Nick is certainly starting to make an impact.
Tom Robinson said of Nick “I love your work , powerful passionate stuff. on his BBC Radio 6 Music show. BBC Introducing The South presenter Melita Dennett wrote in an article about Nick “ Nick takes a well-trodden genre but rips it apart and rearranges its innards to create something altogether different. It's unpredictable, edgy, raw” Nick continues to enjoy repeat plays on BBC radio as well as independent stations and podcasts in the U.K., Europe and the U.S.
Trevor Raggatt Rock and Reel Magazine said “For the last couple of years Nick Tann has been plying his trade on the club and festival circuit. Now, having honed them live, the Hampshire-based singer-songwriter has committed a clutch of his songs to (whatever these days passes for) vinyl. The result is a short but sweet collection of likeable and listenable tunes.”
