The emerging talent that is Nicky Lar, has over the past few years, seen his ascension as a DJ rise dramatically.

His love for music started in the 80’s with Hip-Hop & Rap, whilst spending many an hour break dancing on the streets of Liverpool.

After moving to Leicestershire and hearing an Amnesia Rave Tape in the early 90’s, he was hooked and craved more and more of the sound.

He started out DJ'ing shortly after this in 1990 under the alias DJ Touch. Landing his first residency at the then legendary Pump House in Leicestershire, which saw him play what, is now classed as 'Old Skool', but back then was Acid House, Rave and Drum & Bass. It is at this time that he began promoting his own Raves in various venues around the Midlands, playing six plus hour sets.

This Rising star has more recently focused his desire on House music, with versatile sets covering Balearic, Sexy, Funky, Tech and Club House, pleasing the crowds with his selection of tunes, flawless mixes and technical tricks. Holding down a weekly residency for the past 4 years has seen Nicky hone his skills to read a crowd and know what to play at the right time.

2009 saw Nicky start promoting his club night “Hocus Pocus” which, in such a short space of time, has gone from strength to strength, achieving two residencies & various guest spots around the Midlands. It has also been recognised by MIXMAG as one of “BRITAIN’S BEST FREE CLUB NIGHTS” in the UK & EIRE with a feature in the April 2010 issue, and all before holding its first Birthday celebrations.

2010 also saw “Hocus Pocus” spread its magic onto the White Isle of Ibiza hosting parties in ES PARADISE, EDEN, KANYA, VIVA, BAY BAR, EGG BAR & THE ORANGE CORNER.

Working for “Devoted” a record label based out of Liverpool, it is not long before Nicky will be taking his first steps into music production, with releases & remixes already in the pipeline.
