Created in September 2008 by Wesley Killerbee and Jon Wickstead, the night began as a series of weekly gigs showcasing the best new bands in the UK followed by a club night that promised to Give The Past A Slip, playing only the best new music from the past two years. The Deaf Institute proved to be a perfect location, being both one of the best small live venues in Manchester as well as one of the most respected clubs. The night quickly garnered an untouchable reputation for the sheer quality and variety of live bookings as well as the DJs impeccable music policy, becoming one of the most popular midweek nights in the city.
