Odradek is a three-piece from São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 2014 by Caio Gaeta (drums and vocals), Fabiano Benetton (guitars and vocals) and Tomas Gil (bass). Math-rock, free jazz and videogame soundtracks result in an interesting weirdness in their sound, with an intense instrumental and lyrics in portuguese. The band is currently on tour promoting their debut album “Pentimento” (2018), listed as one of the best records of the year at Rolling Stone magazine in Brazil. A tweet from Anthony Fantano hyped the material as he review them as “some sweet brazilian math-rock”. Odradek were invited as supporting act to the noise band Daughters and Delta Sleep from Brighton. Their latest effort is “Nó”, a single released in 2019.
