Oh La Kanada is an Alternative Rock/Dream Pop band from London that fuses electronics with acoustics to create highly diverse, eclectic and danceable pop music.
Spanning three nationalities (Polish, Swiss & Dutch) and countless musical backgrounds (Pop, Trash Metal, Reggae, Jazz & Hiphop i.a.), the band consists of Karolina Sztolcman, Piotr Zegzula, Jakub Rokosz, Gui Trionfo and Jaykint. The five of them met at music college in London.
The first idea for Oh La Kanada came in 2015, when Karolina and Piotr started to work on demos for an untitled project, in a bedroom in West London. After gaining the remaining band members and a lot of writing and polishing, OLK started to record their first EP early 2017, to be released October 13th. They will release two singles off of that EP during the summer.
OLK combines loads of drums and percussion with melodic guitar, groovy bass, lush synths and dreamy vocals to create bright and colourful music that resembles Canada’s nature. Crossing their very different musical paths, they are influenced by the likes of Foals, Glass Animals, Metronomy and The Dø.
