Biography

Hailing from Paris but zoning worldwide, Marine Tordjmann alias OKO DJ's implacable rise to prominence has seen her establish as one of the finest selectors and DJs to pace the European stages. Having grinded her teeth at Groovedge Records, the Lyon-based record store where she used to spend whole afternoons unearthing unheard treasures from dusty crates and tirelessly practising her DJing skills from scratch, she rapidly made a name for herself by weaving uniquely inspired, cross-pollinating mixes - as fearless in their approach as they're intricately constructed.

Co-founder of Bruits De La Passion - a crew promoting alternative, off-piste parties that aspire to create safe spaces for creation and recreation, first lady of Judaah's Lyon-via-Marseilles operated label BFDM, head of LYL Radio's Parisian antenna where she hosts her monthly show Pu$$y Nightmare - focused on casting a broader, more comprehensive light on female artists, needless to say OKO DJ's agenda has moved from busy to chock-a-block over the last couple years, attracting her wider recognition on an international level - with lots more to come.

Not keen to reduce music to style specifics and abstruse aesthetic templates, OKO DJ aims at exploring connections rather than divisions, bridging gaps rather than widening them. Dishing out distinctively rich, genre-busting tapestries that transcend all limitative roles and the usual club-calibrated schemes, the Parisian vinyl-slinger channels surrounding energies and forces throughout her sets with unrestrained panache, stacking up the vibes of the moment to better beam them back across. The very idea of a DJ capable to sync and adapt without trading what makes her voice all the more singular.
