Biography

Overdrive are a 4 piece band from Stockport. They combine the heavy drumming of Dylan Booth with the New wave basslines of Corey Politt, layered with the metallic riffs of Joe Dews lead guitar and finished with the dark vocals of Kade Flanagan to give you the next generation of guitar music. In 2024 Overdrive released their first single “petty talk” in 2024. “Petty talk” showcases the band’s heavily post punk/indie side of there songwriting with the single discussing ideas of love and turning that into something that makes a crowd move. With a change of band members overdrive began to be heavily influenced by bands such as the cure and joy division and discovered a much darker/ alternative side of music and at the start of 2025 released there second single “leech”. With there new alternative sound the band decided to book a mini tour stopping at venues across the north west and landing a gig at Liverpool iconic Jacaranda. The band continue to keep this momentum and don’t plan to stop.
