Palace Winter is Caspar Hesselager & Carl Coleman.

The collaboration was born while sharing a tour bus together for six weeks around Denmark in the Winter/Spring of 2013. Carl was opening for The Rumour Said Fire in which Caspar was playing synths.

They bonded over a shared enthusiasm for anything from Elliott Smith to Seinfeld, Here We Go Magic to Cornettos, Bill Hader to instant coffee and knew it had to result in making music together.

They entered the studio in March 2014 with a goal to fuse each others sounds;

Caspar's synth-pop playfulness and wide-screen production vs Carl's atmospheric vocals & traditional singer-songwriter background.
