On 2015’s ‘In Gold’ EP, and throughout the following year’s ‘High Point on Low Ground’, halcyon hallmarks of house — euphoric piano lines, bubbling acid and luminescent keys — are shot through with Donaldson’s tough, distinctive percussion.
