Quiet Ensemble was born in 2009 from the encounter between different professional and expressive experiences;
Fabio Di Salvo devotes himself to experimentation and the creation of interactive video works using modern audio-video manipulation software. Bernardo Vercelli graduated in theater set design in Norway and subsequently works as a light designer in Copenhagen, Denmark. Together they developed an interest in the contamination of different expressive modalities observing the relationship between technology and nature, the union between the concrete and abstract imaginary and the balance between randomness and control, giving life to subjects composed by the perfect union of the elements, moving the attention on insignificant and marvelous aspects, like the movement of a fly or the sound of trees.
At the same time, interest is linked to that sector of new technologies that explore the aesthetic and conceptual possibilities deriving from interactivity techniques, working on the relationship between image and sound, studied exclusively in relation to a specific environment - site specific, with the goal of revealing clichés through different points of view.
