Rewind to 1987.......A young Blue Eyed Soul Boy and avid Scooter Boy (Clyde Valley S.C) was given a golden opportunity to spin some of his valued Northern Soul collection at the legendary Carlton Studios All-Nighter in Morecambe.

The decade that ensued saw Rab 'Bob' Sinclair DJ in various soul venues up and down the country including the infamous 'Kilt' Soul Nights in Lanarkshire under the 'Jailbait Soul Club' banner.By now a key figure in the Scottish Soul scene Rab was instrumental in co-founding ' Soul-ution' Lanarkshire's longest running and most successful Sunday Night Soul sessions at Motherwell Point with the late 'great' Brian 'Barney' Welsh who was a lifelong soul inspiration to him.

Rab’s hunger for new musical genres steered him towards the -then- growing Garage and House scene initially inspired by his visits to the 'Club 9' events.’ I always remember seeing Yogi Haughton arriving to do his set with a huge personalized Yogi Bear emblem embossed on the back of his leather jacket and thinking ‘Wow this is interesting’…He spun Beloyd ‘Get Into Your Life and literally blew me away that night!’.

The now 20 something DJ come promoter spun regularly for the 'We Continue' nights in the central belt...Then his own club 'SoulPhuric' with Mark Linton in Alaska in Glasgow and latterly the hugely successful 'Lemon' nights all over Scotland seeing him line up with the likes of Marshall Jefferson and Iain Boney Clark to name but a few.

Rab by now was very much doing his own thing often disillusioned by the apparent ‘soul snobbery’ in the scene (something he always despised) and peoples reluctance to listen and embrace new aspects of black oriented dance music.

He decided to hang up his headphones and took a break from spinning out publicly - 12 years to be precise – But in 2013 'Bob came Back' by popular demand after being convinced to plug his headphones back in for the love of Black Music.....All Things Soulful.....And All Our Listening Pleasure.......

Musically - last year has been a busy one, with Rab now rebuilding a healthy soul core broadcasting his ‘Jailbait Soul Show’ fortnightly on ‘Groove City Radio’ which includes all aspects of black music with his tag and life mantra …‘Unadulterated Soul Music with no boundaries’…..

Gigging regularly at the reinvented ‘Club 9’ events, ‘The Levelone’ Alldayers and his latest projects ‘Afroboogie’ with Iain ‘Boney‘ Clark, Not forgetting his own soul vehicle ‘ l e m o n s o l e’ and his latest incarnation ‘The Brunswick Sessions’…2016 promises to be his busiest year to date with a DJ booking confirmed for SSW6 …….. In 2017 RBS played the main room at ‘Streetrave legends’…. a huge event on the Scottish dance calendar alongside Dave Morales and Paul Trouble Anderson….2018 saw RBS fronting the ALL Day Disco event with John Morales and none other than Sister Sledge!!!!...2019 see’s the relaunch of his ever popular fortnightly ‘l e m o n s o l e’ show on Groove City Radio….and hosting Teddy Pendergrass ‘The Movie’ afterparty in Stirling in March
